Sprinkler

Grandma set up the sprinklers for the boys to run through one evening while we waited for Grandpa’s scouts to finish with the pool. Isaiah wasn’t very impressed (because he’s always cold) but Helaman loved it.

Helaman really came into being a big boy this trip. He’s never been willing to run through sprinklers before, and especially not let them touch his face. But this night he was a crazy man, and didn’t have any problem with the water getting his face.

He also got brave in the pool and was willing to go underwater for the first time ever. This was something he never even did at swim lessons when they were supposed to bob. But now he does it happily and bravely. He also jumps in and lets his face get in the water and comes up laughing, laughs when someone jumps in and the water splashes him, even laughs if he gets splashed. I was so proud of him. He does things when he’s ready, and then he does them fine. But not a moment before he is ready!
